Bogota's Open Museum painting in public spaces

Bogotá's Open Museum - MAB seeks to contribute to the recovery of public space through art, to the construction of the social fabric, and empowering people to actively participate in the city's cultural life. Since 2021, artists are being encouraged to be part of this collective construction, through their ideas and artistic processes in the different stages that have been advanced. Thanks to this support and continuous learning process, the capital completes the third year of Bogotá's Open Museum.

Each of these stages of construction of the MAB has allowed citizens to explore and experience art in public space from different angles. It has fostered a recognition of art as a work of public domain to which every person should have access. Furthermore, it has emphasized the importance of the recovery and appropriation of public space through art, while promoting its responsible practice.

Learn and travel through each of the works that today you can find on the streets and that fill Bogotá with life. The life of those who live and walk through the city takes place in an Open Museum.
